final cytologic diagnosis:malignant cells present. Carcinoma, w/features suggestive of papillary thyroid carcinoma.
MRI findings:4.3cm TRV x 4.2cm CC x 3.2cm AP infiltrative, homogenously enhancing mass, posterior to the left thyroid lobe, likely extrathyroid in location. The mass completely surrounds the proximal left common carotid artery at that level, w/out occlusion noted on concurrent MRA neck. rightward shift of the trachea w/out significant narrowing. the lesion extends to and contacts the left aspect of the esophagus.(as of Aug. 2010)
존경하는 이박사님 위의내용은 저의 모친의 증상입니다. 가족들 대부분이 자연요법을 희망하므로 수술은 안하셨읍니다.
당시 담당의사 왈 연세에 비해서 무척 aggressive and he has never seen any thyroid cancer behaving this way. open 해서 보고 그대로 닫아야할 경우도 생각하라고도 하셨지요. 수술을 하기도 안하기도 참으로 불안했읍니다. 제작년엔 여러차례 syncope 도 당하셨지요. 지금은 다행히도 잘지내시지만 항상 식욕부진과 pain 때문에 tylenol 등등을 달고 계십니다. 식구들 모두 시한폭탄을 달고 사는듯하지요.
모친께서 박사님계신곳으로 가시길 희망하십니다. 지난주에 새로이 MRI 를 찍고 다음주에 담당의사와 예약이 되였읍니다. 혹시 사이즈가 컸으면 수술을해야할지 심히 고민됩니다. E.N.T.의사 왈 수술후 재발하려면 20~25년은 걸린다던데. 혹만 띄어내고 이박사님 프로그램에 보내드릴까도 생각이 드네요.
간절한 마음으로 좋은 advise 부탁드립니다.
참고로 모친께서 올해로 77세되십니다.
